Quiche + Veggies (HC)

Quiche + Veggies

Ingredients

  • ¼ large shop bought quiche (i.e. broccoli & cheese, salmon & broccoli, cheese & onion etc.)
  • Portion of vegetables (your choice: steamed broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrots, or a frozen veg medley)
  • 1 tsp ketchup or mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Place a slice of quiche on a baking tray and cook in the oven according to the packet instructions, or microwave until heated through.

  2. While the quiche is heating, prepare your vegetables by steaming, boiling, or microwaving until cooked to your liking.

  3. Serve the warmed quiche with the vegetables on the side and add ketchup or mayonnaise as a condiment.

* Note: When picking a shop-bought quiche, look for options that are:

  • High in vegetables (e.g. broccoli, spinach, peppers)

  • Lower in saturated fat – check the nutrition label and avoid those with cream or lots of cheese as the main ingredient

  • Shorter ingredient lists – the fewer preservatives and additives, the better
