Cinnamon Baked Pears

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (or honey)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 pears, halved
  • 125g full-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp nuts (of your choice: pecans, walnuts), chopped

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven or air fryer to 180°C. If using the oven, line a baking tray with baking paper. If using the air fryer, use an air fryer liner or tin foil.

  2. In a small saucepan, heat the butter, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla until the butter is melted.

  3. Brush or spoon the mixture generously over the cut sides of the pears, coating well.

  4. Place the pears cut side up on the tray or in the air fryer basket. Brush a little more mixture on top.

  5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, until soft, golden and starting to caramelise.

  6. Allow the pears to cool slightly.

  7. Spoon the Greek yoghurt into a shallow bowl, top with the warm pears and sprinkle over the chopped nuts.
