Burger, Chips + Veggies

Ingredients

  • 1 shop-bought beef, chicken, turkey or plant-based burger (not potato-based)*
  • 160 g frozen oven chips
  • Portion of vegetables of your choice (e.g. mixed salad, frozen veg medley, peas, or sweetcorn)
  • 1 tsp ketchup or mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and cook the frozen chips according to the packet instructions until crisp and golden.

  2. Cook the burger using your preferred method (grill, oven, frying pan, or air fryer) until fully cooked through and nicely browned.

  3. Prepare your vegetables by steaming, boiling, or microwaving until cooked to your liking.

  4. Serve the burger with the chips and vegetables on the side.

  5. Add ketchup or mayonnaise as a condiment, if desired.

Note - When choosing a shop-bought burger, look for options that:

  • Are high in protein and made with quality ingredients (e.g. lean meat or whole food plant-based sources)

  • Contain fewer additives and preservatives

  • Have more green and amber traffic light labels, with fewer red

  • Have a shorter ingredient list with recognisable ingredients
