BLT Bagel
Ingredients
- 2 slices bacon
- 1 bagel (wholemeal or seeded)
- 1 heaped tsp mayonnaise or butter (optional)
- A handful of lettuce (any green leaves)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Pinch of black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the grill to a medium-high heat.
Place the bacon on a grill tray and cook for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and cooked to your liking.
Slice the bagel in half and lightly toast.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or butter onto each half.
Add the lettuce and sliced tomato to the bottom half of the bagel.
Top with the grilled bacon and sprinkle with black pepper, then serve.
Note: Best enjoyed fresh. You can swap the bacon for grilled turkey bacon or any other protein element.
