Beef Pasta in Soy Sauce (HC)

Ingredients

  • 60g wholewheat pasta
  • 1 small beef sirloin steak (approx. 120g)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, reduced sodium
  • ½ garlic clove
  • 2 spring onions
  • ½ stock cube, low sodium
  • 4 tbsp green beans

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to instructions on the pack. Cut the beef into thin slices.

  2. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium- high heat and cook the beef for about 3 minutes, then transfer onto a plate and drizzle with soy sauce.

  3. Add the sliced garlic and spring onions (scallions, green onions) to the same pan and cook for about 3 minutes, until spring onions (scallions, green onions) start to soften.

  4. Return the beef and soy sauce into the pan and crumble in ½ stock cube (if can’t crumble stock cube, add to a bit of hot water, allow to dissolve then add to pan) add the beans.

  5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then add the cooked pasta (if using), stir now and then allow to simmer for about 2 minutes.

  6. Taste test and then serve.
