Almond & Honey Porridge

Almond & Honey Porridge

Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 15g almond butter (or any nut butter)
  • 135ml milk (of your choice)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • Portion of fruit of your choice (e.g., a handful of berries, 1 banana etc.)
  • 15g flaked almonds

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the oats, ground flaxseed, almond butter, milk, vanilla extract and honey.

  2. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to thicken, about 5-10 minutes or until the oats are cooked to your liking.

  3. Pour into a bowl, top with your chosen fruit and flaked almonds, and enjoy!
